Marketing Representative

Job Description

FLSA Status:  Exempt (Sales) 

Typically Reports to:  Authorized Partner or Senior Marketing Representative 

Territory:  South Shore, Cape Cod

Job Purpose:  Is responsible for developing and maintaining a referral network of professional service providers such as accountants, enrolled agents, attorneys, financial planners, real estate agents, and the members and officers of civic organizations and investment groups.  Responsible for developing a strong referral base for the company by frequent and repeated personal contact with service providers. Is responsible to keep the service providers informed about services of the company as a qualified intermediary. Maintains and tracks activity through a CRM database. 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain a person to person business relationship with existing service providers consisting of attorney, banks, CPA’s, Financial Planners, Investment Groups and others.
  • Seek out and establish a person to person business relationships with new service providers consisting of attorney, banks, CPA’s, Financial Planners, Investment Groups and others.
  • Promote the company and the quality of service provided by the company. Understand, represent and present the values and mission of the company.
  • Originate and search for new business opportunity.
  • Determine the needs or desire of the service providers for educational seminars regarding a 1031 Exchange. Offer to provide in house or off site seminars for professional offices and Investment Groups.
  • Distribute marketing and educational materials to the service providers and follow up with frequent personal contact.
  • Assist with the ongoing development of company marketing plans and activity based upon feedback from the service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and make periodic reports of progress.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing Coordinator on follow-up requirements.

Job Specifications:

Education:  At least 15 years full time work experience or bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years full time work experience.

    • Sales experience in a related field such as real estate agent, mortgage broker, title company  representative.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills. 
    • Proven track record of goal achievement.
    • Excellent relationship building skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Strong, inquisitive, listening and decision making skills.
    • Self disciplined, self starter and self motivated.
    • Ability to act, think and work independently.
    • Computer skills (Microsoft Office).
    • Ability to perform with minimal supervision.
